PARADE is LIVE
We are wrapping up a 6 months long prototype project that Ratvader (Music producer and creator of suggestive soundscapes who worked with music, soundtracks and audio for games for a long time, most recently with Ultros), Allis Amaz (Music producer and mashup master from Skillnicker, Emellertid & OCD Soundsystem) and little old me worked with during the fall of 2024.
We unfortunately did not get the larger grant that we applied for, so this spring, we are trying to find footing and what to do with our weird little prototype. One thing we definitely will do is send an application to A MAZE and see if they think it'd be cool to show there. And we are also reworking our application to hopefully be able to continue working and building on PARADE after summer.
When it comes to describing PARADE it's not super easy. I like to say it's inspired by other musical playformances like Tough Coded and Cello Fortress, but this isn't helpful when talking to people outside of nische art games. But it is a music performance and a collaborative video game with cardboard controllers made for a dancing audience to play around with. And as usual with these kinds of experimental games, it's much easier to understand what it actually is when you play it. So hopefully we can get a lot of people to play it!
